Southside Gymnastics club is a new club based in the Southside of Glasgow. We focus on recreational gymnastics for beginner to intermediate level. Our aim is to provide a fun, safe and relaxed environment where participants can develop their movement and strength through gymnastics. 

Sign in/out

All children must be signed in and out of every class by the parent/guardian. Parents/Guardians must come to the gym hall to drop off and collect children. Please do not wait outside the school to collect children. 

Safety guidelines 

All participants must adhere to the safety guidelines:

- Always listen to coaches’ instructions and guidance 

- use appropriate equipment outlined by coaches 

- do no run (unless asked to) in the hall 

- work within your own limits

- only attempt skills when instructed

- no food or gum in training area

- report any injuries immediately 

- please do not attend class if you are unwell

All out staff are fully trained and committed to the safety and wellbeing of gymnasts, however, it is important to note accidents can happen and Southside Gymnastics cannot be held responsible.

All participants must adhere to Southside Gymnastics Code of conduct:

Payment and Registration 

Southside Gymnastics Clubs use Class for Kids to register and store registration data (see Class for Kids website for data storage policy). All participants must register for Southside Gymnastics Class through Class for Kids before attending class. Please do not attend class if you are on the waiting list. Booking is not confirmed until payment is received.

Class for Kids use Stripe to collect and process payment. 

Classes are £7.50 per class, payments are made by subscription. This means we calculate the total number of classes in the term to provide a monthly average. For August - December 2025 monthly payments are £21 taken on the 1st of every month in that term. This payment will automatically be taken from your account, you do not need to do anything. You can cancel you subscription at anytime, to cancel please email southsidegymnasticsclub@outlook no later then 5 working days before the next payment. If you cancel after 5 working days, you will be charged for a further month. 

No refunds are offered at Southside Gymnastics Club.

Safeguarding 

Southside Gymnastics is dedicated to safe sport for all. We strive to offer a safe and caring environment for all participants. As part of this we have appointed a safeguarding officer, this is someone independent to the coaching team. If you have any safeguarding concern, no matter how small please report this to the safeguarding officer. The safeguarding officer for Southside Gymnastics Club is currently Juliet Adie.

First aid 

Southside Gymnastics Club will always have at least one first aider on site. 

It is the responsibility of the participant or parent/guardian of the participant to update Southside Gymnastics Club of any changes to medical needs.

Fire evacuation 

The fire evacuation procedure is outlined by Shawlands Academy, please familiarise yourself with this while in the building. 

Risk assessment 

A risk assessment has been carried out for Southside Gymnastics classes, a copy of this is available. 

Qualifications

All coaches are qualified according to the British Gymnastics UKCC. All coaches have relevant PVGs.
